Synopsis
Set in utopian Piltover and the oppressed underworlds of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart. Check out the actors behind some of your favorite animated films and shows, including Ella Purnell in “Arcane.” Fortiche Productions made a music video for Riot called “Get Jinxed” in 2013. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took several years.

After the first season premiered, Riot announced that there would be a second season, which would take less time to produce. He stars in the crazy cartoon cast of AniMat: Geeked Week for Freaks (2021). The animation is simply superb
Performed by Imagine Dragons ft J.I.D., Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters who grow up and get into trouble in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops you right into that fictional world, it takes the necessary time and care to set up the locations and characters in a commendable “show, don’t tell” style. The solid character development and world building means that this game is a total joy to watch, even if you have no idea about the game.
There’s an incredible attention to detail
As an anime fan, I found the animation in Arcane to be superior to anything I’ve ever seen in an animated series. It’s clear that no artistic talent or financial expense has been spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life. Great soundtrack, great acting, and an engaging story that pulls no punches when it comes to violence and more adult themes.
Only the first three episodes have been released so far, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!
