The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice is from an incident called “Mentats of Dune.” The three books intertwine the development of the Brotherhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors. I don’t want to criticize just the first episode of a TV series, but this was just average across the board. The acting was below average, except for some well known actors like Mark Strong, Emily Watson, Olivia Williams and maybe Travis Fimmel. The rest of the actors looked like they just came out of the film academy or something.

Like I heard a lot of music here that had no effect

The story was very loose and the dialogue was not worthy of a dune. I like slow dramas that take forever to build because I know the payoff is worth the wait. But it wasn’t just slow, a lot of things happened, but it was just boring, I don’t know how else to say it. The soundtrack that was wandering around in the movies was a bit copied here, familiar sounds popping up here and there, but it’s just that the timing was off.

My question is, did he even like that being done?

I remember the time we spend in movies with people talking and then boom, Hans Zimmer does his magic, and I get so excited. But I know he wasn’t involved in creating the sounds here and I don’t even need to check. I’m not sure Denis Villeneuve was involved in this production, I hope not. Would a mediocre TV series like this after two epic movies have any effect on the long-awaited third movie?

The reason I wonder is because The Penguin was so good it made me appreciate The Batman even more than I did after seeing it and I can’t wait to see the second movie. So how will Dune: Prophecy impact the third movie if there is one?
