When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and that he was going to audition people similar to Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least get him to Ford first, thinking he would immediately turn him down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been brought in for the project, leading to interest from other notable actors. In the end, Goldstein spoke to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was elated nonetheless.

His dry delivery is the absolute best

Harrison Ford is just amazing in this show! His curmudgeonly demeanor and sharp tongue are now my life goal when I get to my older years. He is hysterical and I need more of this in my life!

This show is beautifully written

Also, if you are a Jason Segel fan, you will not be disappointed. It has well-rounded characters facing real issues. It brings all the emotions and leaves you wanting more each week.
