When Freddy Lupine turns him into a werewolf and plants a mischievous moon spirit on earth, Freddy must restore cosmic order before earth and moon collide. The German theatrical version was shortened to approx. The raw version was rated “At least 6”.
Great kennel consisting of Ash Gibson Greig, Andrew Craig. Pink mane "Freddy" looks more like a poodle than a wolf, but he is energetic when he has to help his superhero lupine as they try to help people in need! Tired of sitting all the time, he looks up at the sky and makes a wish.
But his new blue friend needs life energy to survive, so they have to find a way to get him back to the moon with his kin, or we’re all in for a disaster! There is only one way to do this, find "Max" – an outcast wolf who lives deep in the forest and has the necessary magic spell. They go looking, but the angry "Max" does she even want to help them, or does she have her own cunning plan to get revenge on those who kicked her out?
It’s a pretty fun family adventure, but it’s having a hard time finding an audience. Very young people probably won’t appreciate the sense of (teatime) menace, especially towards the end – and slightly older people will probably be put off by the rather childish characterization of Freddy at the start. It’s probably twenty minutes too long, but how a simple lighthearted drama does what it says on the tin, touches on the aspirations we all have when we’re young and want to fit in, lead and be appreciated.
