I watched this film in my favorite small local arthouse cinema, not really knowing what to expect. I have learned to appreciate films where I can watch other people’s lives. People doing things every day. Here we follow the life of an elderly woman in Iran and I was so touched by the beauty of the little things, from her dinner with her friends, to how she goes about her day. The film contains an unexpected surprise that has stuck with me for a long time. It has made me appreciate the fact that I have been able to live my life (as a woman) in Europe. I can recommend this film.
