Synopsis
The musical is inspired by Pharrell Williams’ childhood in Virginia Beach. Coincidentally, Comcast, which owns the film’s distributor Universal Pictures, also owns Focus Features, which released Piece by Piece (2024), an animated documentary made entirely in Lego style about the life of singer Pharrell Williams, a year earlier, from which the story and plot of this film, Golden (2025), comes from.
