Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year competition, judged by Derrick, the director of fan engagement. – followed by this year’s holiday-themed romantic movie lineup, which you can watch from home. The movie was filmed on historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like it all year round.
The locations that serve as the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s Grill are real-life family-owned businesses. Well… I’m a Chiefs fan; I’m a Hunter King fan, and I’m a Tyler Hines fan.
I wish I could leave it at that, but I have to explain. If you’re not a Chiefs fan, I don’t know how you’re going to get through a movie like this. They laid it out really thick.
I didn’t find the chemistry between Hines and King to be very strong at all. The writing was so-so and the overall plot was a little strange. I really liked the supporting cast, and Ed Begley, Jr.
I thought it was interesting that there was a scene where the whole family was beaten to death with eggnog in a Hallmark movie. I wish I had something better to say.
