This animated anthology series showcases original stories set in iconic video game worlds. Video games have made a huge leap to the screen, and we’re celebrating the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations to movies and shows. Clive Standen will reprise his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the protagonist of the space video game Marine 2. The episode takes place after the events of the game. The film is mentioned in Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, there’s no denying it. I struggle to get excited about short episodes like that. They feel like amateur efforts. You can’t fully engage as you know it’s over before you can get some kind of connection with the characters. It’s nice to see some celebrities participating. Reeves and Arnie both play fun parts. It all felt a bit experimental and shallow to me. Plus if I had been given the choice of source material. I think I would have chosen a completely different set of games to honor. The Pacman episode was o.k. but it was a demonstration of artistic license being taken to its absolute limit. It made me laugh at least. Overall, I found the whole series a bit lacking. For 6 scenes.
